We designed a new visual identity for one of the most important concert halls in Europe.
The logo was designed as a synthetic fusion of architecture and sound—the two key pillars of the identity of a place such as the Nowa Miodowa concert hall. The concept is further enhanced by an animated version of the mark, enriched with the authentic sound of an orchestra tuning from the ZPSM No 1 in Warsaw - a subtle, organic motif that introduces a sense of anticipation and a moment of focused stillness just before the music begins.
The mark is based on a geometric, compact form inspired by a top-down view of the building. The typographic arrangement constructs a structure reminiscent of an architectural plan - with a clearly defined outline and a central space symbolizing the heart of the venue: the concert hall. This central point becomes the focal element - the place where architecture meets music.
The typographic layer serves a dual purpose. On one hand, it forms the physical “body” of the mark - stable, cohesive, and grounded. On the other, it generates a visual rhythm that references sound waves. The repetition, density, and directionality of the letterforms create a sense of pulsation, resonance, and flow - a subtle yet legible metaphor for music.
The minimalist form emphasizes the timelessness and elegance of the design. The mark remains clear and distinctive across both large and small scales, retaining its expressive strength in a wide range of applications.
An important design objective was to align the mark with the school’s existing wayfinding system. The logo was created to resonate with its visual language - in terms of rhythm, typography, and modular structure - allowing it to integrate naturally into the architectural space and reinforce the overall coherence of the identity.
In addition to the visual identity, we refreshed the website by redesigning multiple sections and refining their overall appearance. The updated layout introduces a more cohesive visual language and improves clarity across the entire user experience.
